The album is a highly personal complement to lang's 2004 Nonesuch debut, 'Hymns of the 49th Parallel', an album she has described as 'a love letter to her musical DNA' - brilliant re-interpretations of signature songs from fellow Canadian artists like Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Jane Siberry.
