His abiding anti-imperialism found expression in the play, \u003ci\u003eEaster: 1916 \u003c\/i\u003e(1936), and in his last book, \u003ci\u003eThe Trial of Jomo Kenyatta \u003c\/i\u003e(1955). \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eThe Collected Poems of Montagu Slater \u003c\/i\u003eincludes the poems from\u003ci\u003e \u003c\/i\u003eSlater’s only published collection, \u003ci\u003ePeter Grimes and other Poems \u003c\/i\u003e(1946), alongside poetry originally published in periodicals and newspapers.
