Killing

Sôsuke Ikematsu stars in this Japanese drama written and directed by Shin'ya Tsukamoto. Wandering samurai Mokunoshin Tsuzuki (Ikematsu) has no master and instead finds a place to stay in a peasant village where he helps in the fields. He stays with a farmer and his family and trains with the farmer's teenaged son Ichisuke (Ryûsei Maeda), until Sawamura (Tsukamoto), an elderly samurai, arrives hoping to recruit him. Meanwhile, a group of bandits threaten the peaceful village and chaos and violence ensue when Mokunoshin, who has never killed anyone before, is uncertain if he can take a life even in defence of those he seeks to protect.
