British drama starring Jack Hawkins as Jim Frazer, a rubber plantation owner who struggles to keep his marriage alive while the ongoing Malayan Emergency inflicts a fear of personal safety. With his marriage almost in ruins, Jim and his wife Liz (Claudette Colbert) are on the brink of parting ways.
