François Truffaut directs and stars in this historical drama based on the true story of a French boy in the 18th century who spent the first decade of his life alone. When he is found in a forest, the boy is unable to speak or understand language and he is taken in by Doctor Jean Marc Gaspard Itard (Truffaut). Itard hopes to educate him but it will not be easy to integrate the boy into society. The cast also includes Jean-Pierre Cargol and Francoise Seigner.
