Collection of three performances from the San Francisco Opera. In 'Moby Dick' (2012), with music by Jake Heggie, Patrick Summers leads this adaptation of Hermann Melville's classic seafaring tale. Jay Hunter Morris plays Captain Ahab, alongside performances by Stephen Costello, Morgan Smith, Jonathan Lemalu and Talise Trevigne. Francesca Zambello directs the stage production of 'Show Boat' (2014), the classic musical adapted from Edna Ferber's novel. The story follows life on a Mississippi show boat from the 1880s to the 1920s with the cast including Heidi Stober, Michael Todd Simpson, Bill Irwin and Patricia Racette. In 'Porgy and Bess' (2009) Eric Owens and Laquita Mitchell perform the title roles of Gershwin's classic opera.
