Angela Mao Hapkido & Lady Whirlwind Spec

Double bill of martial arts action features directed by Feng Huang and starring Angela Mao. 'Hapkido' (1972) begins during the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1930s. A trio of martial artists (Mao, Sammo Hung and Carter Wong) have just graduated after learning the Korean art of Hapkido. They return to China and open their own school together but a rival Japanese school seeks to destroy them, believing Hapkido to be an inferior martial art. In 'Lady Whirlwind' (1972) Tien Li-Chun (Mao) seeks revenge on Ling Shih-hua (Chang Yi) for causing the death of her sister. He is also looking for vengeance against a gang of mobsters who beat him and left him for dead and she agrees to spare him - and to help keep him alive - until after he gets his revenge.
