Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz star in this sci-fi drama directed by Darren Aronofsky which follows three connected love stories. In the 16th century, conquistador Tomás Creo (Jackman) sets out to find the fabled Tree of Life in Central America in order to save his queen, Isabel (Weisz), from the Inquisition. In the present day, Tommy (Jackman) is a scientist desperately searching for the medical breakthrough that will save the life of his cancer-stricken wife Izzi (Weisz). Meanwhile, in the 26th century, Tom (Jackman) is an astronaut travelling through deep space who is finally beginning to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for so long.
