French drama co-written and directed by Patrice Chéreau. Margot (Isabelle Adjani), the Catholic sister of King Charles IX of France (Jean-Hugues Anglade), is forced to marry the Protestant Henri de Naverre (Daniel Auteuil) in order to reconcile her divided country.
