At 24-years-old Bowie heads across the Atlantic to promote his third album, 'The Man Who Sold the World', leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie (Jena Malone). Travelling across the country with his band and Mercury Records publicist Ron Oberman (Marc Maron), who believes in the singer-songwriter's potential to become a star, Bowie is inspired to create his iconic Ziggy Stardust persona.
