Alexander Dreymon stars as the warrior Uhtred of Bebbanburg, the son of a Saxon nobleman who was captured by the Danes as a child and raised by Earl Ragnar (Tobias Santelmann) as his own son. When Ragnar is burned alive, Uhtred vows to avenge his death and to recapture his ancestral lands of Bebbanburg.
