The Norman Conquests The Complete Trilog

Television adaptation of Alan Ayckbourn's comic trilogy of interconnecting plays. Each play recounts the events of the same weekend from the perspective of different characters. Annie (Penelope Wilton) lives with and cares for her invalid mother. Her brother Reg (Richard Briers) and his wife Sarah (Penelope Keith) arrive to take care of her for the weekend so that Annie can have a break. However, Annie is planning to meet her sister Ruth (Fiona Walker)'s husband Norman (Tom Conti) until he arrives early to collect her. This leads to a chaotic weekend involving all five of them, along with Annie's neighbour Tom (David Troughton), gathered at the house. The plays are: 'Table Manners', 'Living Together' and 'Round and Round the Garden'.
