Ataç Sezer draws inspiration for his compositions from highly varied sources: the 24 different tonal systems of Turkish makam music, for which he has developed new forms of notation, and also from microtonality and electronic music. He likes to experiment with new playing techniques and loves combining Western and Eastern instruments.
