Auf Wiedersehen Pet By Benjamin, Toby

At last, a brand new official book about Auf Wiedersehen, Pet with contributions from creator Franc Roddam, writers Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais and Stan Hey, plus from stars Kevin Whately, Tim Healy and Christopher Fairbank, the series commissioning editor, directors and crew. Presented in a compelling first-person format, this official book covers the origins of the series, its cultural significance and the enduring impact it continues to have on audiences more than forty years after original broadcast. The book also charts the remarkable story of the Official Auf Pet Fansite, documenting how a shared passion for the series evolved into a decades-long effort to preserve its history, organise anniversary celebrations and raise significant sums for charity. Includes more than 20 previously unpublished photos from the sets of series one and two, a foreword by Franc Roddam, and an afterword by Ian La Frenais. -- .
