Baghdad Central

Six-part Channel 4 drama set in Baghdad in the immediate aftermath of Saddam Hussein's fall from power following the US-led invasion. Experienced Iraqi police officer Muhsin al-Khafaji (Waleed Zuaiter) is approached by British officer Frank Temple (Bertie Carvel) to head up a new local police force. Despite his reservations about collaborating with foreign forces Muhsin agrees when his daughter, Sawsan (Leem Lubany), goes missing and he sees the role as an opportunity to find her. However, in order to safely locate his daughter Muhsin must navigate the changing landscape of Baghdad as different forces vie for control of the city.
