Ewen Bremner stars as Alan McGee, the founder of Creation Records, in this biographical drama directed by Nick Moran. In 1980, McGee leaves Glasgow behind and moves to London, hoping to find success in a band. Instead he flourishes behind the scenes of the music industry, forming Creation Records in 1983 and discovering and managing acts including Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and Oasis. However, the highs he enjoys are accompanied by lows, with Creation battling bankruptcy and McGee suffering from a breakdown as a result of his drug use. The cast also includes Suki Waterhouse, Jason Isaacs, Jason Flemyng and Thomas Turgoose.
