Culloden + The War Game Dual Format

Double bill of documentary-style BBC dramas written and directed by Peter Watkins. 'Culloden' (1964) depicts the 1746 Battle of Culloden in which the British Army defeated the outnumbered Scottish Jacobite forces and shows events before and after the Jacobite rising was defeated. The film presents the historical event as if it was being featured on a modern TV report, by portraying the action as a documentary and interviewing the actors involved in the battle. 'The War Game' (1965) depicts a fictional Soviet nuclear attack against Britain and shows events leading up to and in the aftermath of the devastating attack.
