Robert Taylor, Richard Todd and Dana Wynter star in this war drama directed by Henry Koster. With Allied forces on their way to Normandy in 1944, Englishman Lieutenant Colonel John Wynter (Todd) and American paratrooper Captain Brad Parker (Taylor) reflect on their love for the same woman, Valerie Russell (Wynter). Their unit has been tasked with destroying a well-defended German coastal gun station, with Wynter in command of the operation, and they do not know if they will survive the coming battle or see Valerie again. The cast also includes Edmond O'Brien, John Williams and Jerry Paris.
