Emma Mackey stars as English writer Emily Brontë in this biographical drama written and directed by Frances O'Connor. The film tells the story of how the shy and reclusive Emily came to write her classic novel 'Wuthering Heights', from her first attempts at writing with her sisters Charlotte (Alexandra Dowling) and Anne (Amelia Gething) during their childhood in the Yorkshire Moors, to her passionate affair with her father's curate, William Weightman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen).
