Classic Taiwanese drama directed by Hsing Lee. The only male heir of the Pei line, Pei Gang (Wei Ou) is raised by his wealthy grandmother (Bih-Huei Fuh). When he kills a pregnant woman and her two cousins, he is sentenced to death, to be executed in autumn. His grandmother tries and fails to save him and convinces him to marry Lian (Pao-Yun Tang) so that the Pei line will continue.
