Originally published in 1983, this book not only dissects the intrinsic and oppressive sexism of conventional adult and continuing education, but also argues the case for women-centred education with a powerful and compelling logic. A challenging and controversial book of the time, mixing provocative theories with details of practice in a wide-ranging and readable debate, it addresses the process through which women’s rights to educational equality can be guaranteed.
"Arguably the first feminist analysis of adult education" Daniel Schugurensky
