In the tranquil town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire, retired archaeologist Judith Potts (Samantha Bond) teams up with dog-walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and Becks Starling (Cara Horgan), the vicar's wife, to investigate a series of murders. Their help proves invaluable to lead investigator DS Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) and they begin working with her officially as civilian advisors. Afterwards, they find themselves embroiled in other mysteries which they continue to work together to solve.
