Ever since her journalist mother died on an assignment, Marin has played it safe, refusing to set foot outside Tennessee. Her younger sister, Sadie, has trotted the globe as a photographer, taking on all kinds of dangerous jobs. When Sadie returns looking a little worse for wear, Marin reluctantly agrees to a sisters'' spa weekend on a tropical island.
