Abdellatif Kechiche writes and directs this French romantic comedy based on the novel 'La blessure, la vraie' by François Bégaudeau. Set in 1994, the film follows aspiring screenwriter Amin (Shaïn Boumedine) as he returns to his hometown of Sète in the south of France after quitting his studies in Paris to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. With his cousin Tony (Salim Kechiouche) by his side, Amin spends the summer relaxing at the beach and partying in nightclubs as he searches for love.
