Documentary directed by Justin Stokes. Ernst Degner (James G. Nunn) was an East German motorcycle engineer and racer. During the Cold War he was monitored by the Stasi and planned to defect to the West with help from Suzuki, who wanted to employ him to design and race for them. His wife and two sons escaped East Germany while Degner was racing at the 1961 Swedish Grand Prix and he followed after the race.
