Renowned for their illustrious ceramic manufacturing heritage, the Staffordshire Potteries originally centred upon the six towns: Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Stoke-upon-Trent, Fenton and Longton. The modern city of Stoke-on-Trent was created from these six towns and around fifty villages.
