Triple bill of Japanese action thrillers set in feudal Japan. In 'Siege' (1964) Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa (Ganjirô Nakamura) is looking to consolidate his power by wiping out the remnants of the Toyotomi Clan. Tokugawa's forces have been laying siege to Osaka Castle, the last remaining Toyotomi stronghold, for months, but another battle is being fought in the shadows as ninja Mist Saizo (Raizô Ichikawa) is on a mission to assassinate Tokugawa. The story continues in 'The Return of Mist Saizo' (1964) with Saizo determined to finally defeat Tokugawa (Eitarô Ozawa). As his fight continues, he must also face new enemies. However, it may be that there is no longer a place for ninjas in the world... Finally, in 'The Last Iga Spy' (1965), Mist Saizo's son Saisuke (Ichikawa) inherits his father's hatred of the Tokugawa regime and seeks to avenge his death. As he joins forces with rebel warlord Yui Shosetsu (Mizuho Suzuki), he becomes embroiled in a dangerous and corrupt new world that he does not understand.
