Office worker Satoru Mikami (voice of Takuma Terashima)'s uneventful life takes a dramatic turn when he is killed on the streets of Tokyo and is reincarnated as a slime who becomes known as Rimuru Tempest (Miho Okasaki). In this new guise he befriends a dragon called Veldora (Tomoaki Maeno) who has been sealed away for three centuries after reducing a town to ashes. Freeing Veldora changes the course of his life and with his newfound powers, he begins establishing the nation of Tempest.
