Cantonese-language action thriller directed by and starring Donnie Yen. Police detective Fok Chi-ho (Yen) loses faith in the ability of the police to secure justice and so he leaves the force and trains to become a public prosecutor instead. When Ma Ka-kit (Mason Fung), the defendant in his next case, is tricked into pleading guilty to drug smuggling, Fok Chi-ho believes he is innocent and is determined to uncover the truth. As he investigates further, he finds evidence of a sinister conspiracy and institutional corruption but will he be able to save Ma Ka-kit?
