Humphrey Bogart, Tim Holt and Walter Huston star in this Western directed by John Huston. Drifters Fred C. Dobbs (Bogart) and Bob Curtin (Holt) are stuck in Tampico, Mexico and are desperate for money when they meet Howard (Huston), a prospector. The three men set out together for the Sierra Madre mountains but soon after they find gold, greed and distrust threatens to come between them.
