In need of money, poet Takuboku Ishikawa (voice of Shintaro Asanuma) forms the Woodpecker Detective's Office and joins forces with linguist Kyosuke Kindaichi (Takahiro Sakurai) to solve a series of supernatural hauntings and crimes.
