Biopic following the life and work of French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent (Pierre Niney). The film shows how the young designer cut his teeth at Dior in the 1950s before creating his own couture house with the help of his business partner and lover Pierre Bergé (Guillaume Gallienne). Although Laurent is now regarded as one of the greatest names in the industry, his personal life was full of great difficulties including struggles with mental illness and drug abuse.
